To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Dumaguete workshop, our batch decided to meet again after 15 years. We knew it would be a small reunion because some of us are either living in other areas of the country like Mindanao or abroad, like Singapore. Some of us also lost touch with the others, with no way of reaching out to them--which is too bad in this world of Facebook and all that social networking technology.
Last night, we had dinner at Adarna Resto. I chose it first because it is centrally located to us who confirmed, and second, I've heard so many good things about it through friends and the blogosphere. I tried not to place my expectations too high because I didn't want to be disappointed. However, I was secretly pleased when out of the 8 dishes that we ordered, I wasn't satisfied with 2 only. The grilled tilapia was too small for the price while the Guinumis was lacking in syrup. Maybe I should've just asked for extra?
Over-all, we were satisfied with the food. I especially loved the Pancit 1913, the adobo batangas, and the tokwa rebusado. We were also satisfied with the turn-out. 5 out of 19 fellows isn't bad... so salut to the dumaguete workshop!

Sepia really gives that oldish effect. Nice. Mala-Dekada 70. Pero kahit colored ung food shots, they also look old probably due to the subdued lighting, the antique looking platters and the brown wooden chair. Goes well with the reunion shot.:)
