Practice Portraiture
If I'm going to pursue photography as a profession, I'd probably focus on portraiture as my speciality. I have always been fascinated by portraits. They convey so much with so little dynamism in imagery. I think the best portraits are produced when there is a clear, albeit fleeting connection between the subject and the photographer. To practice my photography/portraiture skills, I frequently use my friends as models. What better people to use, than those who've been close to me for many years?
